The Berkeley XML Application Infrastructure

UC Berkeley's School of Information Management and Systems has begun a collaboration with the E-Berkeley Program Office, various IT units, and other campus organizations to apply XML, enterprise data architecture, web services, and other "DocumentEngineering" concepts to campus computing. A new "Center for Document Engineering" is being established at Berkeley and it will host an online repository of the schemas, tools, and other "know-how" developed through this collaboration.
